Measure liquid medicine with the dosing syringe provided, or with a special dose-measuring spoon or medicine cup. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist for one. Conditions that cause a-fib, such as thyroid disease, will be treated.
Body as a Whole: edema. If you take sotalol and will be stopping use of the blood pressure drug clonidine, your doctor will manage this transition carefully. This is because stopping clonidine can lead to decreased blood pressure. If sotalol is replacing clonidine, your dosage of clonidine may be lowered slowly while your dosage of sotalol is slowly increased. Kidney health warning: Sotalol is primarily removed from your body through your kidneys. If you have kidney problems, this drug may be removed too slowly, causing high levels of the drug in your body. Your dosage of this medication will need to be lowered.
